This page sets out how Misonics Pty Ltd (Misonics, we, us, our) supplies cleaning chemicals and what you need to do to use them safely. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Our chemicals are industrial products supplied to commercial and industrial customers for use by trained people in a workplace with the safety policies, training and controls they require; if your workplace does not have these, do not buy them — talk to us first.
Documents supplied with every chemical
Every chemical we sell is labelled to the Globally Harmonised System (GHS) as Australian work health and safety law requires, and has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and a technical data sheet available on its product page and on request. The SDS gives the hazards, handling, storage, first aid, spill and disposal information; the technical data sheet gives the dilution, temperature and application guidance. Read both before use and keep the SDS where your operators can find it.
Transport
Products classed as dangerous goods (for example corrosive alkaline and acid concentrates) are packed, labelled and consigned under the Australian Dangerous Goods Code by road freight with a licensed carrier. They cannot be sent by air or to a PO box, a signature is required on delivery, and a dangerous-goods handling charge may apply, shown before you pay. Tell us before ordering if your site has restrictions on receiving dangerous goods.
Storage, handling and use
Store chemicals in their original labelled containers, upright, in a cool, ventilated area away from incompatible materials, with bunding or spill containment as your site requires. Wear the personal protective equipment the SDS specifies. Dose to the technical data sheet and the process card we provide; higher concentrations or temperatures do not clean faster and can damage parts and equipment. Use only chemistry that is compatible with your tank and components: products carrying our Tank Approved mark are approved for use in our machines. Never mix products, and never use flammable solvents in ultrasonic equipment not designed and marked for that purpose.
You are responsible for the safe use of chemicals at your site, including operator training, ventilation, spill control, and compliance with the workplace health and safety, dangerous goods and environmental laws that apply to you. We are glad to advise on selection, dosing and process settings.
Trial before full use
Before full-scale use, test the product on representative parts under your operating conditions unless the process has already been validated for your parts. Materials, coatings and contaminants vary; a data sheet is not a guarantee of a result on every material. Ask us for a small pack or a quoted trial if you are unsure.
Returns and disposal
Opened or partly used chemicals cannot be returned. Unopened chemicals are not accepted for change-of-mind return because we cannot verify storage conditions; where a product is faulty or not as described, our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy applies and we arrange safe collection. Spent solutions and rinse water must be disposed of in accordance with the SDS and your local trade-waste and environmental requirements; we can advise on neutralisation and treatment.
Product warranty
Chemicals are consumables and are not covered by our equipment warranty. Each product is manufactured to its technical data sheet; if a product is not as described or not of acceptable quality when stored and used as directed, our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy and the Australian Consumer Law apply and we handle the claim with the manufacturer. Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
