Polyester felt

Depth filtration in needle-punched polyester felt. Solids are held through the thickness of the media, not just on the surface, so a felt bag holds far more dirt than a mesh of the same rating before it blinds.

Chemical & service notes

Good in most acids and oxidising conditions. Not for strong alkali or hot caustic — polyester hydrolyses.

Temperature

Up to 150 °C. The housing seal has its own limit — the lower of the two governs.
